Community Coming Together: Bargain Basket Donates $1,600.51 to Support FK Love's Mission

An incredible act of generosity from Bargain Basket and the United Church of Marco Island reminds us that when a community comes together, lives can be changed.

At FK Love Foundation, we believe that making a difference starts with people who care. Whether it's providing a warm meal, supporting a child in foster care, or helping a family through difficult times, every act of kindness has the power to create lasting change

Recently, we were reminded just how incredible our Southwest Florida community truly is.

Thanks to the generosity of Bargain Basket of Marco Island, the United Church of Marco Island, and their amazing community of donors, shoppers, and volunteers, $1,600.51 was donated to support the work being done through FK Your Diet and its mission of giving back.

We are incredibly grateful for this meaningful contribution and the kindness behind it.

More Than a Restaurant: The Story Behind FK

For those who may not know, the letters "FK" in FK Your Diet stand for Foster Kids.

Founded by Doug Miller and Amy Eldridge, FK Your Diet was built on a mission that goes far beyond serving delicious homemade food.

Doug spent 12 years of his childhood in foster care. Those experiences helped inspire a lifelong commitment to making sure children and families facing difficult circumstances know they are not alone.

Today, that mission continues through FK Your Diet and FK Love Foundation, with a focus on supporting foster children, feeding families in need, providing disaster relief, and helping individuals experiencing hardship.

We believe that everyone deserves kindness, compassion, and a community willing to stand beside them.

A Gift That Goes Beyond the Dollar Amount

The $1,600.51 donation represents so much more than financial support.

It represents every person who donated an item, every shopper who supported Bargain Basket, every volunteer who gave their time, and every individual who believes in helping others.

Through their generosity, Bargain Basket and the United Church of Marco Island are helping us continue our mission of making a difference in the lives of children and families throughout Southwest Florida.

As our founders Doug and Amy know firsthand, the needs in our community are greater than any one organization can meet alone.

But when organizations, businesses, churches, and neighbors work together, we can reach more people and create a stronger community.

This is what it means to be a village.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Bargain Basket and the United Church of Marco Island

To the entire Bargain Basket team, the United Church of Marco Island, and every donor, shopper, and volunteer who helped make this contribution possible: Thank you.

Thank you for believing in our mission.

Thank you for recognizing the importance of helping foster children and families facing hardship.

And most importantly, thank you for reminding us that kindness is alive and well in Southwest Florida.

Your generosity helps us keep showing up for the people who need it most.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

At FK Love Foundation, we know that meaningful change doesn't happen alone. It takes people, partnerships, compassion, and a shared commitment to helping others.

This generous donation is another beautiful example of what can happen when a community comes together for a common purpose.

We are honored to have the support of organizations like Bargain Basket and the United Church of Marco Island, and we look forward to continuing to spread kindness throughout Southwest Florida.

Because at the end of the day, it's not just about what we give. It's about the lives we touch along the way.

It takes a village. Together, we can make a difference.
